If you have a passion for music, this dynamic course can open the door to a career in the music industry. You’ll need to have the ability to play an instrument or sing. Throughout the course, youll develop the skills essential for today’s performers, including how to rehearse and perform at live gigs, maximize studio recording sessions, and navigate the business side of the industry. The program combines performance, theory, aural training, and composition with technology skills, offering a well-rounded learning experience.Our outstanding facilities include rehearsal spaces, state-of-the-art recording studios, Apple Mac suites, and a 120-seat theatre. Youll have the opportunity to hone your technical skills and gain insights from industry-experienced tutors.Our alumni have achieved notable success, including winning first prizes in the MUSIC SKILLS NI inter-college competitions and earning Gold and Silver in the UK World Skills Popular Music competitions in recent years.

Entry Requirements

UK Requirements

48 UCAS Points and GCSE English and Maths Grade C or above or equivalent plus satisfactory standard achieved at mandatory interview / audition.

ROI Requirements

Students will participate in the Work Based Learning module in the second year of the program.

What's Next?

Further Study

Upon completion of the foundation degree students will be able to progress to the top up program at NWRC (subject to DFE approval) which will result in a full honours degree. Students also have the option to progress to top up at other universities or colleges.
