Congratulations to NWRC Greystone campus student David Johnston who came second in the UK Skills show heats in Ford Daventry.
David, now in his second year, has completed his apprenticeship with JKC BMW in Coleraine.
He was tasked with:
- Removing/setting and replacing a dual clutch pack on a gearbox
- Vehicle health check
- Brake run-out measurement
- Body electrical diagnostic fault
- Engine timing belt with valve clearance
- Engine non start
David came 2nd on the day of his heat where he now awaits the results from the other 4 days of competition. The top 6 scoring students will then be picked for the next round.
