Free employability programme for neurodiverse individuals looking to gain employability skills

Five week course funded by the Skills Fund

North West Regional College (NWRC) is seeking applicants for an innovative employability programme aimed at neurodiverse individuals looking to gain employability skills.

This FREE 5-week Neuro Future programme will begin on Wednesday 25th February at the College’s Strand Road Campus and will provide participants with an accredited Level 2 Award in Employability Skills qualification. Supported by the Skills Fund, Delivering the Minister’s Economic Vision.

NWRC Business Development Executive Clare McLaughlin explained: "This programme has been developed to support neurodiverse individuals by providing an accredited level 2 employability skills qualification, tailored employability workshops, soft skills for teamwork and confidence building. For many, this could mark the beginning of rewarding new career opportunities."

Candidates must be able to fully commit to 5 weeks as required of a part-time course.

NWRC Curriculum Manager for Business Administration Luane Quigley added: ‘’This innovative programme will feature engaging workshops focused on confidence building, teamwork, CV and interview preparation, guided campus tour including our student zone and senso cube, equipping participants with the practical skills and self-belief needed to succeed in the workplace.’’

To be eligible for funding applicants to be 18 years or older at point of enrolment, have a right to work and undertake training in the UK at the point of application and for the duration of the course and must not be disqualified from doing either by reason of their immigration status. 

Proof of this will be required to progress application. Prove your right to work to an employer: Overview - GOV.UK , individuals will be available to register in person at provider campus as required. Individual courses may have enhanced eligibility, details of which will be provided by the FE College, minimum of GCSE English or equivalent.
