Gene completed the Level 1, 2 and 3 in Professional Cookery at NWRC, gaining the confidence to set up her own online business making and selling a variety of home-baked goods.
The College offers so many great opportunities. I studied Level 1-3 in Professional Cookery and now run my own online business selling home-baked goods. I also travelled abroad in the Erasmus programme.
What was your previous education?
I completed my Leaving Cert qualification.

Why did you choose to study Photography at NWRC?
It was closer to home and there were so many courses to choose from.

How did College life differ from being at school?
It makes you focus on the career you really want to pursue.

What did you enjoy most about your time at NWRC?
The College offers so many great opportunities and experiences, with amazing lecturers. I even had the opportunity to travel abroad in the Erasmus programme.

Why did you decide to start your own business?
Thanks to the skills and knowledge I gained while studying towards my Professional Cookery qualifications I now run my own online business selling home-baked goods.

What are your future plans?
I am now pursuing a degree in Business Management with the aim of opening my own café in the future.
