Why did you choose to study Engineering at NWRC?

The A-Level in Engineering didn’t offer me enough about the subject to further me in my career. So I decided to study the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma at NWRC, which is equivalent to 3 A-Levels. The course is very insightful and has given me a wider perspective of the key processes of engineering and how they impact the modern world. Engineering at NWRC is an incredible option!

-----

What lecturers/tutors have inspired you at NWRC?

My tutor Conor Murphy has helped me enjoy Maths and inspired me to learn more about the different materials used in engineering, and tutor David McLoone has taught me never to be afraid to ask questions - especially about how things work.

-----

Would you recommend the College?

I would recommend NWRC as everyone has been so supportive and helpful. I’m looking forward to my future with them.

-----

What advice would you give to a student sitting their GCSEs this year?

My advice to anyone doing their GCSEs is to make sure you keep your options open and don’t be scared to broaden your horizons into pastures new. A-Levels aren't necessarily the right option for everyone.

-----

What’s plan for the future?

My plan for the future is to become a Weapon's Engineer with the Royal Navy.
