Aimed at qualified fitness professionals who wish to learn how to provide assistance/advice and design exercise programmes for people with certain medical conditions which put their health at risk e.g. Heart Disease.It is seen a career progression opportunity for existing exercise professionals.The YMCA Level 3 Diploma in Exercise Referral is assessed through a combination of internal and external assessment.

UK Requirements

Learners should be 16 plus and must hold at least one of the following:•Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training•Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Pilates•Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Yoga

Additional Information

Course content includes - Nutrition, - Anatomy & physiology, -Professional Practice for the exercise professional, - Planning & Instructing for referred patients. This qualification can lead to employment as an ‘Exercise Referral Instructor’ or in any role that involves tailoring exercise for people with medical conditions covered by the qualification
