Course Overview

This course will provide you with the professional skills and knowledge necessary to become a competent hairdresser, working efficiently and effectively. If you are artistic, creative and have a natural flair for styling hair, this course will help you explore the skills needed to turn your interests into a career. Skills you require:• the creativity to design and interpret hairstyles• excellent customer service and communication skills• organisational and time-keeping skills. During your course you will have the opportunity to participate in an annual Hairdressing and Beauty Showcase, a day of competition, judged by leading hairdressers and beauty therapists. Our students also have the opportunity to compete in Regional and UK Competitions. You may be entitled to financial support for your uniform and kit. Contact Student Services for more information.

Entry Requirements

UK Requirements

4 GCSEs Grades D-G to include Maths and English Grade D

ROI Requirements

4 OLCs Grades O5-O8 to include Maths and English Grade O5. Applicants presenting with a Junior Cert or Junior Cycle qualification should have attained a majority of higher-level subjects including English and Maths
