The Admissions Department is a support department within the North West Regional College. The Department strives to maintain high standards of customer care and provides an efficient and effective high quality service of support to students and staff across the College.

The Admissions Department is split into Switchboard, Reception and Admissions/Enrolments. These functions are carried out at the three main campuses, Strand Road, Limavady and Strabane.

The Admissions and Enrolments section provide an efficient and effective service for full-time and part-time students through the admissions and enrolments process. Once we receive your application, our Admissions Team will contact you by email about the next step. It is important to note that all communications from the admissions department will be sent to you by email.

Admission Process

The Admissions and Enrolments section provide an efficient and effective service for full-time and part-time students through the admissions and enrolments process. Once we receive your application, our Admissions Team will contact you by email about the next step. Depending on which course you apply for, you may be required to attend an interview / audition. The course criteria / requirements for each course is documented within the course information section of the website. Some course don’t require interviews / auditions and in this case you will be made a conditional or FIRM offer pending poof of your results. It is important to note that all communications from the admissions department will be sent to you by email.

  • You may be entitled to transport to the College. To check your eligibility and apply for a bus pass please click on the Education Authority link https://www.eani.org.uk/financial-help/school-transport/further-education

  • To enrol on a Part-Time course at NWRC you must be over 16 years of age on or before 1st July in year of entry. An aptitude test and/or interview may be required to gain entry onto some courses. It is important to note that we process enrolments on a 'first come, first served' basis and courses fill up quickly so don't delay, apply today.

  • For information on how to pay for your Part-Time course please visit our How to Pay section on the website. Here you will find all methods of payments and convenient ways to pay.

  • With the current Covid-19 restrictions a majority of interview / information sessions are being carried out by telephone or online via Microsoft Teams or Zoom. The method will be interview / information session will be indicated within the email correspondence. At this session you will have an opportunity to meet College staff and find out more about the course you have applied for.

  • Don’t worry if you are unable to attend. Simply let us know by email admissions@nwrc.ac.uk and we will reschedule your interview / information session date.

  • Letters are available upon request at any of our main receptions (Strand Road, Limavady and Strabane campus). To request a letter you MUST bring proof of identification. Please note, letters will state the name of the course you are enrolled in and also the start and end date for the course.
