Course Overview

The Hospitality industry is a large and diverse employer, and the sector is growing within Northern Ireland with more people travelling and eating out. This provides many opportunities for a dynamic, and fulfilling career. Hospitality at level 1 is the beginning of this journey giving you the insight, skills and knowledge to develop in this career path. The qualification is a well-structured learning programme delivered in modern facilities with a dedicated teaching team. This course will introduce you to basic cookery and help develop good work and organisational practices. It is suitable for those who need to gain more confidence in their abilities to prepare and cook food and will help them to develop a professional work aptitude. You will work in the College’s well equipped kitchens and the College Brasserie /Restaurant. Your study includes NVQ1 certificate in Hospitality Services and Essential Skills in Communication & Numeracy at the appropriate level.
