Course Overview
This course combines the practical hands-on experience of the workplace with the knowledge, skills and understanding gained in the College classroom and workshops enabling you to successfully achieve a Level 2 NVQ in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair. This course entails everything from bumper to bumper on a light vehicle that will allow you to competently work on all aspects of light vehiclesCore modules include:• Health and Safety• Positive Working Relationships• Fabrication• Vehicle Servicing• Engine principles and operation• Vehicle Electrical Systems• Vehicle Chassis Systems• Vehicle Transmission systems.Our students also have the opportunity to compete in Regional and UK Competitions with the aim of representation at World Skills. To succeed every NWRC student requires determination, an interest of the subject, commitment to your studies and a good work ethic.Students who enter programme without Maths, English and ICT at grade C or above must also attend additional essential skills which allows for progression to Level 3.The Awarding Body for this course is IMI.
