Entry Requirements
UK Requirements
Traineeship - 4 GCSEs Grades A-G to include Maths at Grade D and English Grade E as a minimum. This course will run subject to numbers or alternatively it will be consolidated to run in one of the campuses only. Apprenticeship - GCSE Maths and English at Grade D or above/equivalent Ess.skills . You must also have employment with a N.Ireland registered company confirmed by 31/07/2026. Applicants without ICT @ Level 2 must commit to additional class for this to be achieved in first year of programme. PT evening ICT classes at NWRC available prior to September 2026. This course will run subject to numbers or alternatively it will be consolidated to run in one of the campuses.ROI Requirements

Traineeship
Students will initially be provided with in college work placement which will prepare students for industrial placements if gained through the academic year.
Apprenticeship
As an Apprentice you will already be employed. If you are struggling to find employment our dedicated team of Employment Liaison Officers will support you. Our Open Days are also a great opportunity to meet employers. You may also be required to attend college on days outside of the normal class day should Ess. skills be required.

What's Next?
Further Study
Students without Maths and English at grade C or above will have the opportunity to complete essential skills to Level 2 as part of the programme of study. On successful completion of the Level 2 Dip or employment status/pre-entry criteria it is possible to progress onto full time employment on Apprenticeship NI programme. Apprentices on achievement of Level 2 can progress to L3 AppNICareer Prospects
Typical SalariesStarter: £17,000 to £20,000Experienced: £20,000 to £30,000Highly Experienced: £30,000 to £38,000 With experience and extra training, you could become a site supervisor, clerk of works or contract manager.
